A working phone is how people get to work, talk to their kids' school, apply for jobs and call for help. Every year we meet customers who have to choose between a repair and groceries. So this holiday season UTTECH is fixing five devices at no charge, parts and labor included, for people in our community who need it most.
How it works
- Who can apply: anyone in Utah who needs a phone, tablet, laptop or game console repaired and cannot comfortably afford it right now. You can apply for yourself or nominate a friend, a parent, a student, a neighbor.
- What is covered: any repair we normally do — screen, battery, charging port, back glass, water damage, console HDMI, laptop screen — parts and labor, up to one device per person.
- Deadline: applications close December 23, 2026.
- How we choose: Manny reads every story himself. We pick the five where a working device makes the biggest difference. Nothing is shared publicly without your permission.
- Then: we call or email the five people the week of December 28 and schedule the repair at the shop.
Why we do this
UTTECH is a small, family-run shop at 3556 S 5600 W in West Valley City. Our customers are our neighbors, and most of them found us because someone they trust sent them. This is our way of saying thank you, and of making sure five more people start the year with a phone that works.

No. Anyone in Utah can apply or be nominated.

Yes, send one application per person.
Is there any catch?
None. No purchase, no subscription, no marketing consent required. We just want five more working devices in the community.
What if my device is not chosen?
Everyone who applies gets our first-time customer discount of $20 off any repair through January 6, 2027.
