HDMI port replacement service for PlayStation and Xbox consoles

HDMI Port Repair

A console that powers on but shows no picture almost always has a damaged HDMI port — often from a bent cable or a knock to the connector. We perform board-level HDMI port replacement on PlayStation and Xbox so your system outputs a clean, stable signal to your TV again, without you having to buy a new console.

🖥 Fixes "no signal" / black screen🔬 Board-level replacement

Overheating & Shutdown Repair

If your console gets loud, runs hot, or shuts off mid-game, it's usually choked with dust and running on dried-out thermal paste. We fully clean the system, replace thermal compound, and verify cooling so temperatures and stability return to normal — which also protects the components from long-term heat damage.

🌡 Stops random shutdowns🧴 Deep clean + new thermal paste

System Software Repair

Boot loops, corrupted updates, error codes, and consoles stuck in safe mode are software faults we resolve regularly. We repair or reinstall the system software, recover the console to a working state, and preserve your games and saves wherever possible.

⚙ Fixes boot loops & error codes💾 Saves preserved when possible

Preventive Maintenance

The cheapest console repair is the one you prevent. Our maintenance service deep-cleans dust, refreshes thermal paste, checks fans, and inspects ports — keeping your console quiet, cool, and reliable so a small issue never turns into a costly failure.

🛠 Cleaning · cooling · inspection📅 Recommended yearly
Common Console Faults We Fix

The repairs people actually bring us.

Don't ship your console across the country and wait two weeks. These are fixed here in West Valley City — most within a few days, no appointment needed.

Disc Drive Repair & Replacement

A console that won't take a disc, keeps ejecting it, or grinds and skips usually has a failed or misaligned optical drive. We replace and realign disc drives on PS5, PS4, PS4 Slim and Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, One S and One X — and on the PS5 we pair the new drive to your console so it's recognised properly.

💿 Won't read or eject discs🔧 Drive realignment available

Joy-Con Drift & Thumbstick Repair

If your character walks by itself, that's stick drift — worn potentiometers inside the thumbstick. We replace Joy-Con, Switch Pro Controller, DualSense and Xbox thumbsticks, and we also offer Hall Effect upgrades that use magnets instead of contacts, so the drift can't come back.

🕹 Fixes stick drift for good🧲 Hall Effect upgrade option

USB-C & Charging Port Replacement

Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED and Steam Deck charging ports wear out or get bent from being docked and pulled. If it only charges at an angle, charges slowly, or won't dock, we replace the USB-C port at board level so it charges and docks reliably again.

🔌 Switch · Lite · OLED · Steam Deck🔬 Board-level work

Power Supply & Won't-Turn-On Repair

A console that clicks, beeps once, or shows no life at all is usually a failed internal power supply — not a dead console. We test and replace power supplies on PlayStation and Xbox, and diagnose board-level power faults before you write the system off.

⚡ No power · single beep🔎 Free diagnosis first

Handheld & Screen Repair

Cracked Switch screen, dead Switch Lite display, Steam Deck LCD or OLED damage, ROG Ally and Legion Go faults — we replace handheld screens, digitizers and batteries. Bring the console and the dock if the problem only shows up when docked.

📱 Switch · Steam Deck · ROG Ally🔋 Batteries & screens

Retro Console Repair

We still work on the classics: Nintendo 64, SNES, NES, GameCube laser and clock batteries, Wii disc drives, original Xbox clock capacitor removal before it leaks onto the board, PS2 and PS3 laser and cooling. If you've been told a retro system is beyond saving, let us look first.

FAQ

Console repair questions.

My console turns on but there's no picture — can you fix it?

Usually yes. A console that powers on with no video almost always has a damaged HDMI port. We replace the HDMI port at the board level so it outputs cleanly to your TV again.

Why does my console keep shutting off during games?

Random shutdowns during play are typically overheating from dust buildup and aging thermal paste. We clean the system and reapply thermal compound to bring temperatures and stability back to normal.

Do you repair PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch?

Yes — including HDMI, overheating, software, and maintenance work. Tell us your model and symptoms and we'll confirm the repair.

Will I lose my games or save data?

For most hardware repairs your data is untouched. For software repairs we preserve games and saves whenever possible and will always flag it in advance if a reset is unavoidable.

Do I need an appointment to drop off a console?

No. Walk in any time we're open at 3556 S 5600 W Unit 4 in West Valley City. Check-in takes about five minutes, the diagnosis is free, and you don't pay anything up front — you approve a fixed quote before we start.

Should I ship my console away for repair instead?

You don't need to. Shipping means two to three weeks without your console plus the risk of transit damage. We do the same board-level work locally — HDMI ports, disc drives, USB-C ports, power supplies — usually in a few days, and you can talk to the technician who did it.

Can you fix Joy-Con drift permanently?

Yes. A standard thumbstick replacement fixes it now; a Hall Effect upgrade uses magnetic sensors instead of physical contacts, so drift can't develop again. We'll quote both so you can choose.

My PS5 or Xbox won't read discs — is that fixable?

Almost always. It's usually a worn or misaligned optical drive rather than a dead console. We realign or replace the drive, and on PS5 we pair the replacement drive to your system so it's recognised correctly.

Do you repair retro consoles?

Yes — N64, SNES, NES, GameCube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and original Xbox. Common jobs are laser and disc drive repair, clock batteries, and capacitor replacement (the original Xbox clock capacitor leaks onto the board and should be removed).

What should I bring with the console?

Usually just the console. Bring the extra part only if it's involved in the fault — the dock if it won't dock, the controller if the controller is the problem, the power adapter if it won't power on.
